Commentary:

Gang Jeung-san's successor Go Su-bu said about the Chilseonggyeong Mantra:

"It is a spiritual mantra, which grants you the luck you are seeking, ceases desaster, grants you a long life, and protects your body."

[Source: 'Seonjeongweongyeong', written by Go Min-hwan, a follower of Go Su-bu]

If you just chant the mantra sitting on a cushion in the room for a long time, it doesn't mean you will for sure receive infinite luck and a long life. Luck and life is given to people according to the size of their mind bowl. Okhwang-Sangjenim said about this, that giving too much to a person who has a small bowl will cause him/her to die by the bursting of his/her belly. However, if you give too little to a person who has a big bowl it will cause that person to starve to death. So Okhwang-Sangjenim promised to give luck and life according to each person's capacity.

Therefore, it is recommended to look at one's mind first and connect it to the mind of heaven and earth, because by doing so everybody's mind bowl will reach it's outmost capacity and all of you will be able to receive luck and life well.

In the past Gang Jeung-san Sangjenim closed the door to enlightenment by changing the position of one star, which is called Mun-gok, in the Chilseong mantra. Now is the time to open it again, so under the command of God we conducted a work of heaven and earth (Cheonjigongsa) and opened the enlightenment door again. Therefore, if you chant this Chilseong mantra according to what we recommended above, you will receive the energy correctly.
